SunSeriesSupplement-4 – Yelverton’s Lab – October 2014 Update – Space Radiation and Our Changing Planet
–
December 25, 2014 – Sun and Earth are calm, enjoy it. As a side note, I was put on the George Noory Science Panel for the Conscious Life Expo, if you are unfamiliar please check out what is going to happen in about 50 days.
December 18, 2014 – Your patience is so very appreciated. Evening news is posted to YouTube. We are working out some kinks in the website and we will back full throttle soon.
December 16, 2014 — Website Upgrades Are Ongoing. The sun and earth are calm. See the video we posted to YouTube this afternoon. 10 Amazing Solar Eruptions
December 11, 2014 – We have our Tallahassee event tonight (and the internet here is terrible) so there will be no news this evening. The sun is calm, there is a small quake uptick in the south Atlantic, and other than that, I’ll see you in the morning.
December 3, 2014 – The flares and earthquakes are low. The next watch period for earthquakes begins tomorrow, and for solar flares it begins on the 6th or 7th. Enjoy the calm.
November 28, 2014 – No flares or big quakes – the only note is that the northern filament did release straight north and away from earth. I am finishing up the special video for this month and hope to get it uploaded in the next 24 hours. It will appear at the top of this page next to the October update.
November 20, 2014 – LIVE EVENT TONIGHT ON YOUTUBE/GOOGLE+ HANGOUT.
November 18, 2014 – There will likely be no evening news tonight. Our event tonight is in the evening and afterwards I will need to make sure I prep the RV for 17 DEGREES as an overnight low. Keep an eye on the earthquakes and flares, and on those filaments too.
November 9, 2014 – ALL IS CALM. Our Houston event just ended and it is my wife and my anniversary 🙂 so we are taking the night off. No massive flares and no big quakes today. There was one M flare, and we still await the CME impact from the X flare 3 days ago. I’ll see you in the morning. Be safe everyone.
November 3, 2014 – (6:15pm Eastern) Our OKC event just ended, and we have had another solar flare – an M2 and M6 occurred today. Both eruptions came from that incoming sunspot up north, and won’t be geo-effective, but you can continue monitoring its activity overnight as it turns in, especially since the spots are becoming visible now. We have to hit the road so no evening news, but we’ll be monitoring for major flaring throughout the evening. Have a great night everyone!
October 23, 2014 – Slow day. No Major Flares/CMEs. One moderate quake in New Zealand. Nashville event begins soon and then we’re waiting for the eclipse! I’ll see you in the morning 🙂
October 18, 2014 – On the road, no major news. See you in the morning!
October 9, 2014 – SPECIAL VIDEO WILL POST TO YOUTUBE @ 6PM EASTERN – We have an event this evening, and if there are major updates we will do a late evening news upload. If not, enjoy the YouTube upload and the interview that goes along with it.
September 29, 2014 – Like I said last night, busy day today and it’s not done yet. Luckily, there is no major news. Earthquake Index remains at A-. Thank you for your patience – this is a hectic time in the journey. Enjoy the calm, and I’ll see you in the morning.
September 26, 2014 — A SPECIAL VIDEO will be uploaded on YouTube in just a few hours. 40+ terrific minutes with Dr. Gerald H. Pollack on the 4th phase of water. We have our Cheyenne event from 5-8pm eastern time, and IF there is major news after that we’ll do a quick Evening News update. Otherwise, enjoy the special video and I’ll see you in the morning.
September 18, 2014 – No major news. No big quakes, still no CME impact. It appears a small M flare erupted this morning during a GOES blackout but there does not appear to be any relevant aspects for earth.
September 10, 2014 – X Class Solar Flare — Tonight’s update will be a live Google+ Hangout on YouTube
September 7, 2014 – Slow news day. Earth and Sun are relatively quiet, and there have been no major reverberations of the magnetic fields from yesterday’s weak CME impact.
September 2, 2014 – No big quakes or solar flares. That huge plasma filament indeed erupted from the sun, but it did so straight north and it will not likely be an issue. Time for the Kamloops event at Thompson Rivers. FYI – I was awake all last night with my puppy, but she is doing a little better this morning. Thanks for all the kind words.
September 1, 2014 – Major Event
August 26, 2014 – Calm night, nothing to report.
August 19, 2014 – A couple hours ago I said I was taking the night off… then the wake of the CME caused a geomagnetic storm. Making an update for YouTube.
August 10, 2014 – Challenge Yourself! Diagnose the current spaceweather event here and see how you did in tomorrow’s news!
August 1, 2014 – http://helioviewer.org/?movieId=s4hd5 <<<< CHALLENGE: Using the link to the left, spot the M class solar flares, but more importantly… the largest eruption of the day was not a solar flare. Try your hand at diagnosing these eruptions using the tools provided each day in the morning news. The Michigan event just ended, and I’ll be partaking in this challenge as well in preparation for tomorrow’s news. Don’t forget, there will be a FOTW episode tomorrow as well.
July 23, 2014 – NEW SPECIAL VIDEO IS OUT! [Electric Earth and Sun section] and I hope to actually get a 2nd special video out before August 1 – might as well close the year on a double 🙂 Otherwise, the Sun is still silent, we had a 5.5 earthquake in Chile, and the Emlenton event tonight was fantastic. Definitely go check out the special video update, and let’s all enjoy these calm conditions while they last. Also, in addition to your special video update, here’s a terrific read shared in the comment section today: http://phys.org/news/2014-07-electric-dna.html
BIG NEWS: July 17, 2014 – So the earth and sun are quiet, we did get a M6 earthquake in Alaska today but that’s about it. HOWEVER!!!
What the heck is this all about? Head over to www.Spaceweather.com and read the story… this is going to get very interesting. Toronto event = success, S0 = exhausted… reading up on Rosetta until I fall asleep. See you in the morning.
July 14, 2014 – Montreal Event just ended. Luckily there is no news other than a weak CME impact with little geomagnetic effects. Sunspots dropping still, coronal holes relevant, watch holds at B+
July 5, 2014 – Quiet Sun, Quiet Earth. Night off for Ben – but PLEASE LISTEN TO FOTW 🙂
June 28, 2014 – the event went very late, apologies for the lack of news.
June 23, 2014 – Pittsburgh Event goes into the evening – took an earthquake in New Zealand today.
June 12, 2014 – Night off for me. There have been some more M flares but nothing major. Eyes on the spots folks! If something major happens I will make a public update. Thank you for some time with my family, and I hope you guys have a great night.
June 5, 2014 (Evening News & Sun Series Update)
May 27, 2014 – I’m doing something special tonight, multiple videos will be uploaded to YouTube over the rest of the day, with many more to come. I noticed a lot of new faces today; if you do not feel like you fully ‘get’ all the sun talk, it is about to become a whole lot easier. 🙂
(I recommend Starwater first)
May 15, 2014 – Night off for me… but not for you! First, someone call Dr. Robitaille about this 🙂, then keep focus on the ring of fire as I expect at least one more larger rumble to follow this morning’s foreshocks. The sun is taking a nap. The C(lie)mate page has been updated to be the perfect introduction to our primary issues – I recommend sharing that page above any other means of informing friends and family – the introductory paragraph should be all the close-headed folks need to at least ‘give it a chance’ – but I’m willing to hear any tweaks you believe should be made. I’m spending some time with my family before hitting the road for a year, and appreciate the night off. Thank you.
May 13, 2014 – Posted on Youtube.
May 7, 2014: Evening News will be posted on YouTube tonight! Click Here
May 3, 2014 Technical Issues 🙁 — It’s a shame, we actually have important stuff to report. Today’s top quake was in the W.Pacific right at that underwater volcano from this morning’s news; I’m worried about a major quake or eruptive event there, if it hasn’t happened already. Also, an interplanetary shockwave has struck… likely due to one of the polar coronal holes mixing with the minor CME. Aurora watch tonight at high latitude! Earthquake condition index is B- to B, rising on the spaceweather impact as the coronal holes approach along with the planetary conjunctions. ALSO DON’T FORGET we had a FOTW today and we also posted a 2nd video on YouTube showing the recent eclipse through the eyes of IRIS.
April 25, 2014 – All is calm, no news tonight. No flaring, no big quakes, no space-weather as of 5:00pm Eastern Time. I’m currently working on the special video for this month 🙂 – If you didn’t watch the Polar Vortex video or the El Niño video yet, I recommend doing that this evening. Minor Update 5:25pm A moderate earthquake has struck off the oregon coastline – nothing to make you worry, but EXACTLY the type of above-average tremor you would expect for this moderate earthquake condition index.
April 15, 2014 – All is calm, no evening news tonight. High C flaring but not the M we predicted… quaking is calm. Solar wind is calm. See you in the morning.
March 31, 2014 – VERY needed night off for me. Long month, long day at the RV… and absolutely no major solar flaring or earthquakes. Some interesting solar surface activity at the end of this video. If any of you do not use our resource page – click here, give the page a minute to load, and SCROLL DOWN. We have had moderate earthquakes in North Korea, Chile, and Papua New Guinea – all quiet in America so far. It would be great if the March uptick was short-lived.
March 29, 2014 – Also available on YouTube due to significance.
March 26, 2014 – Spaceweather is quiet so we discussed two major discoveries in the solar system. Also available on YouTube
March 19-24: Electric Universe Conference. Evening News will be spotty these few days. It will return as normal on March 25.
Conference Episode
Conference Episode
March 5, 2014 – Evening News posted to our YouTube Channel – HOWEVER – there is another short FOTW from today, and there will be another one tomorrow in all likelihood.
February 28, 2014: Night off for me. The largest space-weather impacts have taken place and the sunspots appear content to accept their fate (see Dec.25.2013 morning news). If there are significant earthquake and solar upticks I will update on twitter first, then on Youtube. Also, I put a special feature on the website homepage, and I recommend giving it a peak.
February 12, 2014: Rare night off for me. (Not really, I’m doing the next chapter of Agenda 21 Counterstrike). The only noteworthy spaceweather news is the increased flaring from the earth facing region- CMEs are popping but none are the type of thing you worry about. It appears there will be a few interplanetary shocks over the next 5 to 6 days or more, and it will be difficult to ascertain which is which, especially with a few filament eruptions clouding the analysis. Earthquake Condition Index is B with the planetary geometry noted this morning, and slated to elevate further with incoming spaceweather and another coronal hole adding to the index. IF there are major updates or alerts required, they will post to Twitter or YouTube
February 1, 2014: Tonight’s Evening News is on YouTube.
January 18, 2014: Family in town and I’d like to take a night off. The CME impact arrived and appears to indeed be minor. If something happens and there are major alerts to be released tonight, I will do so via Twitter first, and in more-detailed fashion on YouTube. Let’s hope for continued calm. Earthquake Condition Index is B. Solar focus is on the incoming sunspots on the south.
January 8, 2014 – Posted to YouTube
January 5th, 2013 – All is calm. We still await the larger quakes, we still await the larger flaring. I have moved once since uploading the morning news and have had my face in solar fields and USGS logs. Enjoy the calm, and be rightfully excited for what today’s efforts have discovered. (Same topic that cut the FOTW short – I couldn’t be more excited) Condition score is B+ to A- and I do expect a score of A by tomorrow night.
