Solar Notes – the lack of flaring during the 200+ sunspot count 2 weeks ago, combined with the current lack of any space-weather activity, is cause to solidify the notion that we are heading for grand minimum right now. We are likely in the ‘extended minimum period’ and this could last for another cycle or two… but in terms of mid/long term planning, this is probably the grand minimum, and we need to focus more on potential implications.
