Great episode. So glad you talked about being ‘prepared’ for this type of event. Some food, water and means to procure more and be at least a little bit self reliant in the possible event that we may be without electricity for any amount of time. So very important for people to take at least some basic first steps for an event that may or may not happen…..but may.

Ben just an FYI it’s a year supply of food and water minimum that LDS leaders have been counciling us for generations now to keep. Not just Utah but mormons world wide. While not all 16 million mormons do so many many of us do & have much more then a year supply. As for if we would share X you can rest assured while visiting Utah my friend ,that if the tribulations start via solar flare next week our food and water is your food and water. Mormons will share with any & all the worlds hungry. (Except invading UN troops) Our militia, bullets & rifles are not to defend our food or water but rather to defend our beloved constitution as written by our founding fathers. Hopefully our 2nd amendment rights will remain unused but if needed we will fight to the last man to defend liberty from tyranny.
Great show today as always! Thankyou!
    Very best God bless,
    A faithful humble Utah Mormon

i was looking for a bubble pop on the surface of water in slow motion on youtube and found these guys having fun with high speed photography Surface Tension Droplets at 2500fps – The Slow Mo Guys – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynk4vJa-VaQ
I asked them to do the bubble on the surface…

    OK cool…
what we need… us, we.. well me then is to see a bubble pop in the surface of water. Why? so I can get an idea of what is happening when a solar flare does a double shot. Some sun spots repeatedly release double shot CMEs and I want to see if a bubble popping on the surface of water in slow mo will give some clues as to what is up with those double shot sun spots.
    thanks and blessings

I believe there are some clues in the fluid dynamics of water that may apply to the double shot sun spots?
I’d try one with soapy water, one with glycerin water, regular water, hard and soft water and see the differences in splash height, amplitude/content and or repartitions. any one here got High speed video equipment and curiosity? LOL…

    bubbles and sun spots… Hmmm
Earth Moos system may well be acting like “moist air” does to Sols “bubbles” sun spots?
When moist air is over a bubble it is a lot less likely to pop. When really dry air is touching a bubble it is a lot more likely to pop. The Earth facing quiet may well be Earth Moon system interacting with Sol in a way that provides the “bubbles” sun spot prominence with some stabalizing factor that increases “surface tension” or plasma balance factor? Like moist air does for a soap bubble? conversely in times of high CME rates on the Earth facing disk the Earth Moon system may be acting like “dry air” does on a soap bubble?

How long before the new aether energy harvesting technologies come online in key locations if the antique transformers and grid fail on a large scale? Some companies are poised in positions far better than the humble citizen. Not to mention what the Military might have in mind? It has to come down before it can be rebuilt? ~ Peace

    RE: altering Earth
We are not wise Humanity… really mean this… we do not have enough information to know what is good to do. Earth is a dynamic living organism that we are just begining to understand. Our main stream science does not yet accept her as living. So I say do nothing, do no harm Humanity, it’s that simple.
what we can do is back off with our activities from every thing we can do…. increase our efficiency as much as we can do. Bless Earth as we would be blessed? Sacrifice some comfort now for a place for our children to live tomorrow?

Predictions have recently been made of the coming of a “New Energy” in the U.S. This could be tied to a solar event that may necessitate the release of thios technology.

    RE: 1:00:34
Lets say that the best one could hope to do is to take on the problem of doing the least harm in Earth by working with the mainstream in a way that gives them what they want while guiding them, in a manipulative covert way, to doing the least harm in Earth, then yes do use water…
what water? the huge iceburg Earth just provided to us?
Why not? lets put the mechanisms right on the ice then and while we are at it let us do it so the water comes back down where it will do the greatest good. Like one of you said South Africa could do with some rain, right? Here we have a huge resource that is mobile given some wisdom and ingenuity Humanity could work with Earth and together to move the ice to the optimal place and make it into rain and reflective clouds at the same time??? Make it so Humanity?

At REI, there is a pump you can stick into mud, extract and make pure water. Now I am going to map out where all the Mormons (food) are in my area. Lol

    Are you ready to die?
If you cannot honestly answer, “Yes, I am ready to die at anytime,” you are not prepared, no matter how well you think you are.

Hi all, I have 2 questions, did anyone actually categorize the size of this week’s flares yet? Secondly, why isn’t anyone asking this question: why does the only the populated planet (Earth) have the ability to quell explosions in its direction, when none of the other planets seem to have that ability?

Is “the earth facing quiet” GOD’s Protection?

    Ben,
It would really be good if you were to male a Deeper Look episode ion the last topic in today’s discussion. I feel you made some excellent points.

I agree with the idea that preparedness is important. However, it is just as important (if not more) to realize that it is a ‘community’ effort that would survive and thrive if such a global transformation were to take place. Community is literally a “coming to unity”, it is the United we stand, divided we fall law coming into reality. Earth Elders say that there are 3 poisons: Lack of creativity / vision, fear and lastly greed. There are antidotes to these poisons but they must be first discovered then administered in good time. In the end, the economies that value life will return to balance more quickly than those that do not. Using and appreciating an areas natural resources is important in order to move forward, but using and appreciating humanity as a natural resource itself is power-mount to moving forward in a creative, brave and generous manner.

We were in a lot of fear until we finished our “desired” level of prepping.
Now that we feel satisfied with our preparations we are not afraid.
It will either happen or it won’t. ..but that is a luxury based on our ability to survive. We will survive.
We have grains and dried goods. We can manually get water out of our well if the wires get fried.

Ben, when you say “I’m going to open this up for discussion now…” and Tony comments…then ask others to jump in ..instead of you going back in to talking talking talking…
You’re squelching your team. Then after everyone else has a chance to comment…then come back in.
You dominate these discussions too much.
You make great points but you don’t share the comment space.
    They just sit. And listen.
Ive told you this for years but you don’t seem to get it.
    Let your team share.

Since water vapor is considered the largest green house gas, how is adding water to the atmosphere going to cool it?
