True, as they say it is best not to jump the gun. I believe the magnetosphere reversal will mimic the heliospheric reversal but at a slower rate. This will allow for cosmic radiation to inundate the planet for a period of time that will result in catasphrophic changes yet imagined. The GSM will be a considerable factor compounding the situation, Yes?

I listened to the Grand Solar Minimum GMS News YouTube channel yesterday, the one I am referring to was posted on 7/5, Titled “Early Frost Likely NYs Unhinged Climate Planning….” They announced that we are in the GSM now and that Cycle 25 wouldn’t be starting for a few years yet. I even went back and listened to that bit of info again just to make sure I had heard it correctly. The differing and competing information on this makes it really, really hard for those of us who are just starting to learn about the Sun and its cycles.
I know it is a BAD idea to get your information from only one source, that’s when you end up in an Echo Chamber that only reinforces your narrow beliefs.
That said… For now, until I get a solid grasp on what I am trying to learn, I am not going anywhere else for information. I am still at the learning stage of “Unconsciously Incompetent” so I don’t know what I don’t know and anyone who looks and sounds like they know what they are talking about becomes a potential “Authority” to me. So far, everything I have learned here has been more factual and correct than what I’ve found on my own. Not knowing where to look, nor having the time to really look hampers me too.

👍Wow, perfectly articulated and exactly how I feel. “I don’t know what I don’t know” Like you, I trust Ben far more than any other source I’ve found because, 1) he’s not a fear monger, even though that would get him more followers, 2) he readily corrects himself and updates us when he gets new information, and, 3) what he & his fellow brainiacs have said turns out to be proven true.😎

I concur. I have been “following” ben and the data he shares for 4 years now. Thats the longest, by far, ive ever “followed” any source.

I would suggest that the best place to start is right here, and if you have not already done so grab a copy of “The Weatherman’s Guide to The Sun” 2nd Edition.
This plainly shows all the main concepts and you can get to grips with the general idea quickly enough. Also included in the book are lists of some of the hundreds of papers published detailing the actual science (not the alarmist IPCC nonsense) behind the book. Highly recommended.

As far as climate science (so-called) goes, ignore the mainstream completely. All they are interested in is the continuing demonization of CO2 which does not now and never has in the past driven temperature and/or climate on this planet. CO2 as villain is the worst piece of propaganda I have ever seen, and it matters little how many little blonde girls in pigtails are shuttled around the planet explaining why cars and planes are evil and we all need to cut CO2 emissions to zero – immediately – whilst China & India are still building literally hundreds of Coal fired power stations. Hmmm.
Instead, check out realclimatescience.com – this uses historical data to show up the mainstream lies for what they are using publicly available data to refute the alarmists and their predictions whilst pointing out they have been saying the same rubbish for over a hundred years now (ice free arctic, sea level rise out of control, yada yada etc ad nauseam)

What you get from communities such as this one is the truth as far as it is currently understood, and who can ask for more than that?
