Interesting and quite in depth. “Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” Arthur Clarke… I am sure you are very familiar with his works. I think anyone who thinks we are alone in the Universe is terrified of knowing we are not. 🙂 Thank you for the upload!
Im of the opinion that if there is some kind of Inter-Galactic Community there would be intense competition for resources just like down here. Treaties would be made, trade unions formed, huge conglomerates of centralized controls at all levels would be necessary. The big difference would be that in order for it to survive outright war would be against galactic law between agreeing civilizations, the outliers and space marauders would also establish their own dark networks as well so all in all to my mind it wouldn’t be much different than here in many respects. The more spiritually evolved cultures would refuse to participate in such a way and therefore they would likely be existing in areas of the galaxy that are very sparse and not within galactic routes of trade and commerce.
I am in no way disrespecting this, but if the NASA program figures out how to develop Hyperspace Tracking, I’m officially calling them the First Order.

On second thought, I KNOW you have championed Clarke. And he would be proud of your works!
This is Adrian’s best presentation to date. Well done, understandable, and intriguing.
