I am reading this book and it is fascinating and scary at the same time. In much the same way as Magnetic Reversals and Evolutionary Leaps by Robert Felix was scary. I am curious about MHD making the molten layer act as a plastic solid. I have not read Hannes Alfvén papers yet and maybe he has an idea of an equation to determine to measure, and potentially replicate, the MHD for the molten layer. Does anyone know what the MHD levels of the motel layer is? Curious to see if can be replaced with today’s engineering, but even then, would keeping one area of molten in a near solid plastic state do any good with the rest of the land masses are racing about?
Thanks Ben. I have not read Chan’s book but have been catching SS reviews on it. Thanks again for all you do.
Has the rotation of the earth as it relates to the cycles above been animated? Is the earth movements or crust shifts akin to dynamo?
