There are other preparations that some may find helpful, and for that, I would refer someone to a children’s movie: “The Neverending Story”, perhaps it is time to find your inner gates.
The first rule of prepping is to never talk about your preparations with others.
Trouble is there is nowhere to run & nowhere to hide in the UK.
No 2nd amendment equivalent either.
We have land in TN. I guess it started in July – letters every week wanting to buy land. People from all over the US looking up property records and offering $1000 to
$1600 – total. Apparently, they don’t know how to look at the tax basis value, to understand an appropriate offer would be $90,000. (It’s not for sale at any price).
It’s odd that so many people can know how to look up the property owners, but not the value.
Another thing all these offers have in common, is they all look about the same. The intro, the first two sentences will be different, but you can put the rest of the letters up to a light and have them match. They are all different people, as I’ve looked them up. All the return addresses are to a ‘rent a box’ UPS type store. They are all a ‘company’ LLC that is a start up as of a few weeks ago. For 22 years we never have received any such ‘offers’, and now it’s weekly.
That’s funny, I watched a bunch of Doug Vogt videos this weekend. Good stuff. But you have a good point, Ben. Things could get shitty before they really get shitty.
For sure, a truly important point. All of our space tech will be gone before it gets vastly worse. Bur, as Ben points out, we will still have our own senses to observe and know what’s happening.
A regression curve of the Earth’s magnetic field strength crosses zero in 2026-2027. It has been interesting to see Ben’s timetable narrow from quite broad to far more narrow recently. I agree with his more recent assessment…to paraphrase, it’s coming at us faster than expected…I (we’d all) hoped it would be at least another 30 years. The data is looming up fast.
