    Fires in the west are burning since this episode posted…do you expect the smoke to effect more rapid cooling as it blocks out Sunlight? Smoke forecasted to make it’s way to upper midwest by midweek. Highs forecasted to be 95 by mid-week. I guess we’ll see if the actual temps fall short of that, due to the haze. Hope so, 95 is too hot, when no rain to be had since Derecho event 2 weeks ago. Funny that last week, the long range forecast was predicting much cooler temps for this week. Time will tell…

    Beaufort Gyre? It is holding a lot of cold fresh water that could dump into the North Atlantic.
