Ben: Can you provide a link or links to the studies that have demonstrated the evidence of the changes to the Jovian system? I wonder if there is any radio imagery of Saturn or the outer planets that might also suggest these changes… thanks!
The reason I am asking this is a have no idea where to look, and don’t have access to most of the published work… tried researchgate, but need an account to access and I don’t qualify. Have had a strong interest in radio astronomy for many years, but main attraction of that was to “listen” for non-random stellar noise, possibly suggesting civilization. I now understand that finding this with the equipment I have is not happening, but the changes in Jupiter should be detectable with even amateur radio equipment. Now would be the time to listen for changes in the outer planets, and I would love some direction on how to set up for that.
Looks like my post with the direct links isn’t going through, but the articles you’re looking for are titled, “Big Mystery: Jupiter Loses a Stripe” and “Jupiter’s New Red Spot” from NASA (though I had to search the first line of the article, “Christopher go of the Philippines” + Jupiter to find the latter), “Now Broadcasting From Radio Jupiter” from Scientific Blogging (references DOI 10.1029/2010GL042488), and just this morning he’s added “A New Model of Jupiter’s Magnetic Field at the Completion of Juno’s Prime Mission,” DOI 10.1029/2021JE007055.
Both those 2 DOI links are working flawlessly – simply copy/paste from DOI to the end of the numbers, right click & search in browser for these (I use DuckDuckGo and it worked)
Many Thanks
