Update: 4:30pm Eastern Time

Earthquake Watch Score: 8. The factors are all presenting themselves… but we have no big quakes yet. One cannot help but wonder if the weaker polar magnetic fields are causing less of a force to be delivered by coronal holes… it applies to everything else on the sun – why not this?

Solar Notes: Sunspots appear ready on the incoming limb and departing. We had a near-M flare earlier today and the trend appears upward. The filaments are not as menacing as they had appeared near the limb – which is also becoming a trend.
