Update: 5:35pm Eastern Time:

Earthquake Condition Index: B
The earthquake index remains elevated from this morning’s update. We wait to see what effect the sector boundary crossing has within the solar wind, but thus far it is minimal. We have had two above-average earthquakes – India and Mexico, but the earthquake in Mexico was downgraded into high M5 range.

Update: 7:21am Eastern Time: Earthquake Condition Index

Earthquake Condition Index Rises to B
The earth facing coronal holes remain moderately active, but it appears we are to take a solar sector boundary crossing today, which counts as the ‘space-weather’ factor in a large way because it definitively changes the magnetic situation of near-earth energy. The boundary crossing is not something I anticipated last night or I would not have had us all the way in C range.
